A shipyard with an area of 70.000 m².



The intent of cooperating with the development of the Brazilian naval market turned
TWB into a restless company, seeking the most innovative solutions in naval
construction. This was one of the motives why the shipyard was built in the city of
Navegantes , in the State of Santa Catarina .

The facility uses a flat area of approximately 70,000 m² with 320 meters riverfront
to Itajai-Açu.

The docking size is large enough to accommodate vessels of 1,800 tons
and up to 75 meters long by 16 meters wide for repairs.

Modern industrial equipment and technology, highly qualified professionals
that follow up all construction or repair phases make this facility comparable
to the world´s best shipyards.

The unit is known by the quality and pioneering of it´s projects, among which
is the first fishing boat totally developed and built in Brazil.

This vessel, among other things, recommends TWB for the Federal Government´s
special financing  “Programa Profrota Pesqueira”.

The city of Navegantes was chosen to built the shipyard because is part of the
second naval construction pole of the country. And, it is the main fishing center
of the country and third biggest of Latin America, generating a solid regional
economy, diversified and profitable.

Among the projects delivered in 2005, worth mentioning the ones to collect
residues built for Petrobras and three new vessels, of “ferry class” for petroleum
delivered to regional operators.
